Masters Swimming Events Anyone?

There has been a thread on the events section of the forum recently to see if any members are interested in taking part in Masters swimming competitions. As well as being a Triathlon, Running and Cycling Club, Man Tri is an ASA affiliated swim club. This means that if you want to take part in swimming competitions you can affiliate to the ASA through the club and that the we can enter teams into all levels of event.

For more information on how you can affiliate it's best to read the following page: Racing > Swim > Affiliation.

In terms of events, our club swimming coordinator, Phil Thomas is compiling a list as we speak that will go up in the Racing > Swim section of the site.

Which club members should affiliate?  Well there is already a number of club members who do or have competed regularly in master swim events.  However I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to improve their swimming.  Once you have achieve a reasonable level of competence then this could be a great way to focus your training and push you to the next level. Phil can offer advice to anyone on appropriate races to begin with.  He can be contacted on swimming@man-tri-club.org.uk
