Facility Issues at Moss Side
Just wanted to give an update on the facility issues at Moss Side. I have been in regular communication with Will Doyle the Senior Duty Manager at the centre over the past few months regarding a number of issues. Here's the latest:
Regarding missing lanes ropes:
"Just to let you know we have received spare parts on site for the lane ropes so hope to be back to normal by Sat (1st Aug) at the latest"
Re: Water Quality, as a number of members have complained of sinus problems for 1-2 days after swimming:
"In relation to water quality we do test water levels every 2 hours and also have an external specialist who conduct detailed bacteriological testing independently, as such I am a little confused as to what could be causing your members health problems but happy to discuss this further. I can state categorically however that it is not due to the chemical balance of the pool water."
I will discuss this further with Will.
Lighting levels in the pool area
".....in relation to the ceiling lights I can confirm that the vast majority of these are out of order due to a major fault specific to that lighting system, we have assessed the current lighting levels and consider them safe for the activities taking place. As such there are no immediate plans to replace like for like but alternative lighting systems are being looked into for future use/replacement."
