MTC Training Programme - Winter 2011/12
We are almost 4 weeks into the Winter Period of our 2011/12 triathlon season here at Man Tri and a lot of additional training sessions are starting this week.
This morning saw the 06.30am spin/turbo + core session at Stretford Leisure Centre coached by Tony Jolly. This session is open to all members and as there are spin bike available, you don't need to bring anything except yourself....so next Monday why don't you start your week off in the right way!
The full programme is available on the clubs website and our google training calendar:

Also don't forget that club Sunday bike rides started again at the beginning of october organised by our very own Mr Cycling Alan Sheldon. There will be a group 2 and 3 ride going out every week so check the forum for details. Group 1 rides are taking place just once every 4 weeks so make sure you don't miss them. There's one this coming Sunday 6th November which is focusing on how to climb hills. To support the group 1 rides we are also running cycling skills sessions once every 4 weeks to help people get the confidence they need to ride in groups.
For this new season we've extended our 3 training levels (Beg/Int/Adv) to swim, bike and run. The aim is to encourage members of similar abilities to train together so our coaches can deliver the most appropriate sessions and to make best use of our facilities. Have a read the training page of the website for more details and to find out what level you are for swim, bike and run:
http://www.man-tri-club.org.uk/Training/
The levels will only enforced strictly at busy times such as we expect in December, January, February but be aware that if you turn up for a session not aimed at your level then you may find you don't get a great deal out of the session.
