Last night (9th April) saw the first ever Duel in the Pool between Manchester Tri Club and Trafford Metro.  The racing was fast and furious, with MTC doing themselves proud against a very competitive Swim club.

The final scores and results as perhaps expected came down in favour of Trafford by 138 points to 68.

The events came thick and fast and there was a continual mix of juniors and seniors.

Plenty of MTC Club records were set during the night and there were a lot of impressive times, some of which look set to stay as records for sometime possibly.

It was great to watch everyone have a lot of fun, get a good workout and watch some excellant swimmers, notable the 200m Free Relay Under 105 combined which was a close finish with Trafford, brought home by Jonathon Higham in 1.42.07, pushed very close by Tom Pope, Chris Mulder, Paul Barnard and Lewis Sanders (1.43.13).

Many thanks to all the Timekeepers, Judges, Marshalls and our MC Dave Q, for helping making the event a success on the night.  In particular special thanks to Bob Bolton, Marie Dixon and Kenny Mitchell for the work in advance of the day.  Thanks to Trafford for being great hosts, and to Royles for suppling the drinks bottles for all the Juniors.
