Important Update: Swim Training Sessions

Almost two month into the new membership year and we have had record numbers of people joining the club including many new members who have not trained with the club before. This is great news, but does mean that a number of sessions are getting very busy. Please read on to find out what we are doing to address this.

Firstly, we will be adding an additional swim session at Moss Side Leisure Centre on a Friday between 06.30-08.00 beginning from 4th March. We will review this arrangement on a month by month basis.

We have also 'streamed' or graded all of the swim session as either beginner, improver or advanced. Most sessions will cater for 1 or more levels with a couple of our 6 lanes sessions catering for all abilities. For more details please see the 'Session Timetable' for a list of which sessions cater for which levels. Also read the Sessions > Swim (Pool) page of the website for more information about the different levels. The aim of grading the sessions is to attract swimmers of a similar ability to the same sessions allowing us to make best use of our lane space and provide a better service to members. These changes will come into effect immediately, but we will be giving people till the end of the month to speak with coaches to find out which sessions are right for them.

Just a quick reminder that whilst it has not been necessary to date, if numbers at a session are too great making training unsafe, the coaches have the option to turn people away. If this happens please respect the coaches decision. We are confident that with the additional swim session and implementing session grading this will not be necessary.

Finally it is important that all members read the training section of the website to be aware of session etiquette particularly at swim and track running sessions.

Thanks
