From Edge Lane turn into Ryebank Road, then after a couple of hundred metres take the road on the left into Longford Park (make sure you don't turn too early or you'll end up in a retirement home!). Park in the car park here (free). Cyclists can take their bikes through reception to track-side.

At reception you need to sign in as an MTC member, but no longer need to pay £2 for entry to the track as this is handled by the club. Then go through the door just to the right of reception. Off this corridor the changing rooms are on the left and entrance to the track is on the right.

Once outside walk to the left of the railings then cross the track at the start of the bend (watch out for runners!) to the stepped metal structure on the inside of the track next to the finish line. Bags can be dumped here and this is where the coach will be.

Most people will get to the track 5-10 minutes before the session actually starts and do a few easy warm-up laps. For these we run clockwise - the "wrong" way - round the track leaving the inside two lanes free. Also watch out for any sprinters using the home straight.

The coach will gather everyone together for the start of the session proper, and after the warm-up the main session will be run anti-clockwise - the "right" way. Please be considerate to other runners, particularly don't run too wide, forcing overtaking runners wide as well. During the main set you should not need to run further out than the inside lane unless overtaking.
