Training Camp - April 10

This camp will be based near Malaga, Southern Spain at the villa of Andy and Tracy Idle - www.idlebreaks.com. Jacqui and me first visit two years ago where we stayed for 9 days and were treated really well. Last year I organised for a group of 12 to stay for 7-9 days in March which was great fun! This year Skip is taking on organising duties with up to 12 places available. The main focus of this camp will be cycling in the Andalucian Hills: 3-5hrs a day. Because of the mechanics of the camp (one support vehicle for supplies, directions) the camp is ideally suited for persons comfortable cycling with MTC group 2 for 3-5hrs over hilly terrain. All the details you need are below, but even so it is probably best to give Skip a call / email to discuss whether it is the right camp for you. GET IN TOUCH SOONER RATHER THAN LATER AS PLACES A STRICTLY LIMITED TO 12 AS THERE ARE NO MORE BEDS!
Thanks
Rob Harvey

Flights: Its looking like Easy Jet flights are coming out the best. £143.92 return with a hold bag and bike as of yesterday. I'm going to book flights soon, it would be great if we get everyone on the same flight but appreciate it may not be possible.
If booking later if there are flights that coincide with the easy jet arrival time that would be ideal to avoid doubling up on transfers (there may be extra costs involved with this option).
Once you've booked can you email me with your flight details please.
The group: We have 8 people so far we can accommodate up to 12 so if there are anyone else who is interested they're welcome to join us (should be able to cycle with us.)

Contact details: Thanks to everyone for sending their emails through. Can I ask for your mobile no.s (if you haven't sent them already).
The training plan: If everyone could drop me a few lines of what their aims are for the camp and what they are training for we will seek to put together a training plan that suits everyone as best as possible. People can do as much or as little as they like. The camp is based around getting in some good bike miles in, which is why everyone coming is a strong cyclist so we can keep roughly together. We'd expect to ride every day with maybe a short day / day off to facilitate a long run. There will be options to swim morning and evening, sessions can be provided and coaching will be available on some days. There will also be the opportunity to get in an open water swim. There are plenty of running trails though the olive groves and along tracks.
Here are a couple of the climbs we could do just to wet the appetite...
- Puerto Del Sol is a 30-40 min twisty turney climb
- Sierra Nevada is a 120 min club and 30 minute descent
Bike hire: Andy has a stock of new Planet X road bikes if anyone would prefer to hire rather than take their own let me know and I'll find out the price.
Dietary requirements: If you have specific dietary requirements let me know and I'll pass them onto Andy & Tracy
