Assistant Swim Coach

Qualifications

• ASA Level 1 Assistant Swimming Teachers

Experience

• Currently training with five other loons for the Super Six Challenge (a 48hr challenge to climb the UKs three highest peaks, and swim the UKs three largest lakes, with no brakes for a rest).
• Battled the elements at Lake Windermere in August 2008 (10.8 miles).
• Completed Lake Coniston night swim in July 2008 (5.5 miles).
• Competed for University of Manchester at BUSA swimming 2001 - 2006.
• Youth worker at Glenn Owen Youth Centre organising and assisting sports events in the local the youth community.

Reason for starting coaching

• My mum...she's an awesome coach and has always loved it so I though I'd go for it! Woohoo!

Reason for starting triathlon

• Dave Quartermain saw me swimming alongside a Man Tri swim session and told me I should be training with them - I joined up the next day and love it!
• Swimming outdoors - its beautiful surroundings and one hell of an achievement!
