Masters Swimming
As an ASA affiliated club your are able to swim for Man Tri in masters swimming events. In order to do this you need to become an ASA member through us. To learn more read the affiliation page which can be found here:

Once affiliated you are able to enter any local, regional or national events with only a limited number of international events having qualifying times. The best way to find out more is to read the Masters swimming section of the British Swimming website:
As well as rankings, records and results you will find the Masters competition calendar. Phil will be selecting a number of target events for members to enter. As well as providing some moral support this will allow us to enter relay teams. This seasons target events include:
- 2nd Oct 2010: Cheshire Sprint - Macclesfield Leisure Centre, 6pm start. Friendly event with races specifically for novices as well as seasoned masters swimmers. As the name suggests it is principally as sprint event with most races over 50m. There is also a 400m freestyle race and a number of relays. - 29th-31st Oct 2010: The National Masters - A big, 3 day meet in Sheffield. It is a 25m event with races from 50m up to 1500m and relays. Even though it is major national event, it is still suitable for novices as well. All races are grouped by entry times so you race against people of similar ability regardless of age. - 29th January 2011: Northern Wave Winter Gala, Broughton Baths, Salford - This Northern Wave club gala is open to Man Tri members. For details and entry forms see this forum post: http://www.man-tri-club.org.uk/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=4605
- 27th February 2011: ASA North West Region Long Distance Meet, Palantine Pool, Blackpool - 2011 will be the first year for this event which is scheduled to include 400IM, 800m Free and 1500m Free for men and women.
