Duathlon
If swimming isn't your thing (yet), then Duathlon could be a good option. Duathlon usually involves swapping the swim for a second run resulting in a run/bike/run format. However this isn't always the case with some duathlons being run/bike/run/bike/run, etc. The distance can also vary greatly so be sure to check carefully before you enter. Most Duathlons take place in early spring and late autum with the main triathlon season sandwiched between so they could be used as a great start and end to your season.
