The popular series of MTC winter training duathlons is back, with a new location and new courses. A 10 mile bike course followed by a 5k run to test your legs. Provisional dates are 18-Jan, 15-Feb and 8-Mar; places are limited so get your name down ASAP!

I've just contacted the venues for updated opening times over Christmas. It now appears that all sessions from Wed 24th December to Thur 1st January will have to be canceled. The monday swim is to be extended to 1.5 hours, starting at 8pm (to be confirmed). On thursdays, Dave runs a core stability session from 8pm with swimming starting at 8.30. Both sessions still finish at 9.30.

The second 2007 Winter Duathlon takes place on Sunday near Byley, Holmes Chapel. So far 29 people have registered their details.

The worldwide Ironman Corporation site is claiming only 200 slots left at Ironman UK, and Ironman UK 70.3 entries have already exceeded last years race total. So if you want to race these events, get onto it soon.

The turbo session planned to begin this Thursday (18th Jan) at the Aquatics Centre has had to be cancelled due to an issue with the provided space. An alternative with be arranged this week and details will be emailed out / posted on the website by the weekend.
