The new MTC triathlon season will kick off again in November with return of the turbo sessions at Moss Side and Stretford. We have already had the first organised weekend rides coordinated by Martyn C, Andy F, Daniel McP and Tim Johns so hopefully you've taken advantage of the weather whilst it lasts. In addition keep an eye out on the forum for Cycling Track Session at the Manchester Velodrome organised by Andy Fardon and Introductory MTB rides organised by Steve Clayton.
Running will be well catered for as Tim's Monday night track session now confirmed as a permanent fixture, all year round. Alongside Nick's wednesday track session and the saturday running/cross country sessions giving you plenty of options.
All swimming sessions will continue now that we have confirmation that the Wednesday AM swim will continue. Dave Q will be back coaching the Thursday PM swim from November now that Thursday night Open Water Training is just a distant memory (only 6 months till it all start again!). Dave is going to be running a 30 min conditioning session on pool side before both the monday night and thursday night swim sessions for all those that like to start their swim sessions already knackered
One of the main changes we have planned for this year is the addition of a second coach at a number of sessions. We began this 18 months ago and have slowly been growing the size of the coaching team. Earlier this month I ran a Level 1 coaching course for British Triathlon that included 8 MTC members who are now all keen to get involved with the weekly programme.
Thanks to everyone who has filled out the online feedback form (and if you haven't completed it yet there is still time). We are working on some of your suggestions. We'll put together some responses.
