help - seat post size?

Postby Brad on Thu Mar 11, 2010 9:47 pm

Had my mtb bike nicked a few weeks back. replaced with a second hand one. Just had the seatpost and saddle nicked on that one. Very annoyed.

Seat posts come a variety of sizes, anyone know how i can find out what size mine is?
Record the sound of your washing machine onto a tape, then confuse
neighbours by playing it back on a battery operated cassette player
during a powercut.

Maybe the bike manufacturer will have the specs on their website.... or email them

I guess the only other way is to take it to a bike shop who should be able to try a few posts until they find one that fits.

Dan

This may be of some use. This Sheldon bloke looks nuts but this site is one of my main sources of info, the guy is as savvy as he looks mad.

Most bike shops will help. Withington cycles and Edinburgh cycles are bith realy helpful and close to town.

Rulers are great, but not when it comes down to tenths of mm's on round stuff.
